1.
I saw you last night again Illusions in deep REM My mind couldn't cut the cord For now, in dreams, reborn Etched in history However insignificant these words may be They're all I have My monument to your memory Teenage love, heartbreak and all The distance that followed Until the road between Was swallowed by death Was that always your plan? ...It's like you're just out of reach
2.
Float 09:14
I threw away our bonds and plans Couldn't float - we sunk and crashed Never knew I’d fall right through here Spoke the words Bore the curse Forever… Ever-silent and righteous Dripping from your eyes, avalanche Mustered enough to break amends Neither to heal nor cleanse Focused on a pasture greener How to heal when death’s our leader? Stranger nearer Depleted Exit seer Called away from where we lay I never thought that I wasn't here to stay Again you curse my name Again and again and again Threw away our bonds and plans Couldn't float - we sunk and crashed Now every time I look back Heart attack
3.
Behind the tapestry Thin veil Self serving design Forever caught in a spiral Escapism most radical I'm not the tide against you (Let go and wash away) I'm not ready to say sayonara again Lost once before Don't make it twice You’ve told about those scars Don't make it literal There's more for you right here You cut it clean Erase the scars The pain won't leave When I need you You always change with the seasons Alight inside when the skies burn red Fall apart when the forests are dead When you hear me call I know you only hear the ringing Deafening all but the worst Your mind turned numb And I’ll never know just how stranded you’ve become Even though I’m knocking on your door I want to bring you home tonight To show you what it means to feel Alive
4.
Last Regret 08:23
Come cover up There's crows circling your veins Only you know Picking at the remains You bring the scent of heavy weather This shower brings a new shade It's the strain of a forced silence As I’m screaming beyond the water Could we dive through that blue? I partly knew you were so sick Foolish to think it was passing Years ago I never would have known That these words would be about you Becoming the storm over our heads Immortalized in the work of those you left Seems like solitude was a premonition Of how I’d eventually come to feel forever And for a while you still lived in my dreams Taken again by the morning beams The more lucid I become The more you truly die I’ve come to regret what I had penned Without knowing the way you truly lived
5.
I left you my secrets And they followed you to the grave Adolescent regrets Led me far away Could I have changed the outcome? Did I ever really matter? Would I matter amongst all those you loved? Maybe you pushed me out for a reason But is my inaction at all to blame? I couldn't even make out the details at the wake Mourning impeded by language And a whole world who never truly knew you
6.
Hindsight 06:08
I wonder why we didn't see the signs Should have manifested outside of your head It should have rained fire Our skin should have boiled We all should burn To know her hurt Could we have stopped it then? It takes a lifetime for some To gain hindsight Too little Too late
7.
In time the hour fades to none Crippling ourselves, day by day I’ve seen the worst of you again Eyes shine where the darkest deed is done Letting iron trace across Stop it when you’ve bled the last Drop of tainted knowledge Cruel world Sail beyond the common thought Where the answer is the question undone The richest desire… Truth passes a blind eye The darkest deeds turn men to gods In the vision of those left behind Tears stream black when none answer back Silence of the gallows hymn This broken ideal Of living without question Acceptance of the common reason The birth of ignorance In your self-righteous snear Fights not our dying mental divinity I’ve seen the worst of you again…
8.
Oasis 04:30
Hey there babe I'm diving through Deep dark blue Here - come with me, too Never-ending with you Our skin saturated You're pale like ivory You're pulsating through Oasis… I'm all dancing blue willows inside When November is over and I'm like “Please don't drown" You’ll be dancing away in a familiar breeze I'm all sinking devotion to be found Swim back down through the deep dark blue Many will fall but you’ll never drown It's the only way I know to get out from under here And when time ran out Another face cracked a smile Cracked open Caved in And felt the freedom of failure

about

Stephen:
I would like to first and foremost thank Michael Rumple for being my partner in this project - I've said this before and I'll say it again, without you this would not be here and I could not see myself work with anyone else in this way - it would be a whole different band. Andrew Collett for your continued support of this project and your presence on it - you know you'll be on the next one. For me, this album is a reflection on change and perspective - to have the benefit of hindsight can sometimes be both a hinderance and a blessing and we must see and learn from life in this way if we want anything to come to fruition.

Michael:
Thanks to Stephen for writing music which gives me a platform to process grief, trauma and the constant changes we encounter through life. "Oasis" was written durring a difficult time, and I am grateful for his patience.

The music for "Oasis" was written between 2012 and 2015.
